PEARL HARBOR VETERAN, HAROLD BRUSCHWEIN

The Bismarck 40 et 8 club helped Harold Bruschwein’s celebrate his 99th birthday at it’s meeting on March 24th, 2015. Mr. Bruschwein was stationed at Fort Lewis,Washington in 1940 as the adjutant to LTC Eisenhower. the then Battalion Commander. Dwight D. Eisenhower later became a five star general and out 34th President of the United States.

On 7th December, 1941 Harold was stationed at Pearl Harbor.he is one of the few Pearl Harbor survivors left today. A short time after the Pearl Harbor attack a couple of young naval officers asked Harold to go to the officers’s club and tell them about the attack. It turned out that one of the young naval officers in that group was John F. Kennedy, our 35th president of the United States of America.

The Bismarck 40 et 8 members honored Harold for his past military service and his 99th Birthday at their March Promenade!
